After Reacher and Neagley: Will This Iconic Character Seen With Tom Cruise Get Their Own Show?

The Jack Reacher universe is far from done expanding on Prime Video. As the adventures of the muscular giant played by Alan Ritchson continue to break streaming records globally, the platform is exploring new ways to grow this lucrative franchise. Following the massive success of the spin-off series dedicated to Frances Neagley, another familiar face from the literary saga might soon land her own solo show.

Susan Turner: From the Tom Cruise Era to a Potential TV Spin-off

In a recent interview with Collider, original book author Lee Child teased an exciting prospect for the fanbase. The writer suggested that Susan Turner, a key character in his literary universe, could be the ideal candidate for her own series. Movie buffs will likely remember this brilliant U.S. Army officer portrayed by Cobie Smulders alongside Tom Cruise in the 2016 feature film Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

In the novels, including the book Chain Reaction, Susan Turner returns as a general leading an elite military investigative unit. This career evolution provides ample narrative potential for a gripping television adaptation.

A Streaming Juggernaut for Prime Video

Amazon has every reason to double down on this action-packed franchise. With impressive viewership numbers for the mothership series and a stellar debut for the Neagley spin-off, the platform commands a fiercely loyal audience. While a fifth season of Reacher is already deep into production adapting the novel Make Me, and a sixth season has already been greenlit, the universe shows zero signs of slowing down.

Although Amazon has not yet officially greenlit a project centered on Susan Turner, Lee Child's enthusiasm hints at exciting possibilities for the franchise's future. In the meantime, action fans can stream the first season of Neagley in its entirety on Prime Video.
