Emily in Paris season 6: release date, final season and similar shows

Emily in Paris season 6, the last one, arrives December 24, 2026 on Netflix. Release date, what we know, a season 5 recap and feel-good shows to watch next.

This is the end. Emily in Paris season 6, the show's final season, lands on Netflix on Thursday, December 24, 2026. A Christmas present for fans, right before a long holiday weekend.

Date and format

  • Release date: December 24, 2026, worldwide.
  • Format: the whole season at once, no two-part split this time.
  • Filming: Paris, plus Greece and Monaco.

Creator Darren Star wanted a final season that feels like the biggest yet, taking Emily across Europe before her final choice.

Where did season 5 leave Emily? (spoilers)

Emily turned down Marcello's offer to join him in Italy and chose the life and career she built in Paris. Last twist: Gabriel invites her to join him in the Mediterranean. Season 6 will have to decide between career, heart and her Paris life.

Returning cast includes Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Ashley Park (Mindy), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie) and Minnie Driver.

Do you need to rewatch everything?

No. To refresh your memory, the last two episodes of season 5 are enough (about an hour). Episodes run around 30 minutes, so the show goes fast and works well in the background while you prep for Christmas.

Shows to watch after Emily in Paris

Same lightness, same guilty pleasure:

  • Nobody Wants This (Netflix): a modern, funny romance in 30-minute episodes.
  • Bridgerton (Netflix): period romance, season 4 came out in 2026.
  • Gilmore Girls: the ultimate winter comfort show.
  • Call My Agent!: Paris, the film business and lovable characters.

More ideas: our comfort series for winter and our shows to watch as a couple.
