Ghost Rider: This Heated Rivalry Breakout Star Eyed as Marvel Villain Opposite Ryan Gosling

Breakout star Connor Storrie is reportedly in talks to play the villain opposite Ryan Gosling in Marvel's upcoming Ghost Rider film.

The meteoric rise of Connor Storrie continues at a breathtaking pace. Unknown just a year ago, the young actor is reaping the rewards of the unexpected success of the Canadian series Heated Rivalry on HBO Max, where he starred as hockey player Ilya Rozanov. Since then, his name has been everywhere in Hollywood, leading him to indie projects before potentially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Facing Ryan Gosling in the MCU

According to reports from the Hollywood Reporter, Connor Storrie is currently in negotiations to join the cast of the highly anticipated Ghost Rider film. Unveiled during Marvel's panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the movie is set to feature Ryan Gosling as Johnny Blaze, the iconic motorcycle stuntman bound to a demonic entity. Director Shawn Levy, who just worked with Gosling on Star Wars: Starfighter, will helm the project, with filming scheduled to begin next year in New York ahead of a July 26, 2028 theatrical release.

A major villainous turn

While specific character details remain under wraps, the twenty-six-year-old actor is reportedly being eyed for the main antagonist role. This wouldn't be his first comic book adaptation, having previously appeared in Joker: Folie à deux as the Arkham inmate who crosses paths with Joaquin Phoenix's character. With his breakout role in Heated Rivalry and high-profile upcoming projects, Storrie is rapidly proving himself to be one of the industry's most sought-after young talents.
