Prime Video, Disney+, Max, Canal+: how to sort through November's new releases

More platforms, more releases, less time. Our simple method to spot what's worth it each month, without spending your evenings scrolling.

Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max, Canal+, Apple TV… At the start of every month, each platform publishes its schedule. Put together, that's dozens of movies and series. Nobody has time to follow all of it, and that's exactly the problem.

The real cost of scrolling

It's easy to spend 20 to 30 minutes hesitating before starting something. Multiply that by the number of evenings in a month: that's several movies you'll never watch. Infinite choice doesn't make you happier, it wears you out.

Our method in 3 questions

1. Is it a follow-up to something I loved?

A new season of a show you follow always comes first. It's the safest bet of the month.

2. Who's behind it?

A director or showrunner you know is a better signal than a poster. Remember three or four names you like and follow them from one platform to another.

3. How much time do I really have?

That's the question we forget. A 4-episode miniseries can be finished in a weekend. A 10-episode series with hour-long episodes can't. A 90-minute movie fits into a Tuesday night; a 2h45 one doesn't always.

One subscription at a time

Another useful habit: instead of stacking subscriptions, rotate them. One month on a platform to catch up on what interests you, then move on to the next. Your budget will thank you.

What if someone sorted it for you?

That's the idea behind Ta Dose: every week, a short selection of the movies and series that are truly worth it, across all platforms, with the running time and a direct link. Fewer choices, but better ones.
