What is VisionQuest about?
Reactivated, then on the run from people who wanted to weaponise him, White Vision lives in hiding. He's trying to recover his memories and what makes him a person. Along the way: the AIs he's built from (J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y.) and an old enemy, Ultron, played again by James Spader. The showrunner is Terry Matalas.
What should you watch before VisionQuest?
The show is a direct follow-up to WandaVision. Recommended order, from essential to optional:
- WandaVision (series, 9 episodes): essential, it's where White Vision is born.
- Avengers: Age of Ultron (film, 2h21): Vision's origin and his link to Ultron.
- Agatha All Along (series): useful for the arc of Tommy, Wanda's son.
- Avengers: Infinity War (film): what happened to Vision and the Mind Stone.
It's all on Disney+. With just WandaVision + Age of Ultron, you're covered in about 8 hours.
VisionQuest and Avengers: Doomsday
Marvel hasn't confirmed Vision's role in Avengers: Doomsday, due in theaters on December 18, 2026. But the series finale was designed so it could lead into the films. Getting ready for the movie? Read our pick of essential Marvel films before Doomsday.
